I was inspired to write a sort-of review, thereby, sort of using today's prompt. I just bought some super fun Melissa and Doug Blendy Pens...
I've been creating more poems than I've been posting... I've found some partial poems in my notebook, like this one: poem, in progress
romanticism is a heart earned song I know masochism is an art learned long ago ammunition is a fart turned wrong real slow it's just how life goes, I suppose. then the cantor sings the first but certainly not the last with the banter he springs the worst and purposefully sets the blast and the laughter rings the worst until permanently things have passed it's just how life goes, I suppose. No Matter shall every be destroyed. Even a cookie survives- That one time, as I pitter-pattered with Your platter of cookies... Well, I fumbled And I stumbled Before I tumbled. I was troubled as the pieces doubled, all crumbled and crumpled. Humbled and puzzled, Screams muffled as I struggled with the smuggled, jumbled treats and platter. The latter was flatter as it scattered and splattered, all battered... You should have heard the clatter! I heard the laughter long after this disaster of JUMBLED MATTER. 6 poems poeted, out of 25 possible poetic pieces it seems I've been poetically constipated, but it ain't so complicated. Just couldn't find the time to traipse through treasured tiny movie memories of days we've danced through, no worries, together in the moment, and, now, in the past as I see it again in a happy hue, softening the harsh reality of the cold that was to inevitably resurface anyway, what can I say when I can't portray what I think I might want to convey? when words won't flow, the thoughts, too slow to tell of life and woe? In Honour of Earth... in awe of Her great beauty but I see it on a screen- that separates me from what's real what I see makes me scream stop the insanity! Let Her be in love & peace I missed many days due to business. But, alas, here is one using a fun prompt... talking with a grump (title) what? are you seriously looking at me now? you did that before- you yawned while you were talking and it made a funny sound and you looked at me like I did it to you what? are you seriously touching me now? you do that all the time- you come on over from across the room and smack me an the leg and you look at me like I did it to you what? are you seriously gonna forget our supper date? well no- you won't let me. Playing with Google search bar for today's inspiration. Today's prompt was a Fourteener - http://www.napowrimo.net - which I started but haven't completed. So, there will be that. Here's today's poem: My poem for today is very loosely based on today's poetry resource (*STOP and see below, #1) and the prompt, in so far as I mention "night" in the first line (*STOP and see below #2).... Straight from the official NaPoWriMo 2015 site: #1: In keeping with the theme of fun, our poetry resource for today is, well, less a resource than a diversion. You know how, when you go to search something in Google, the search box will automatically pre-populate with potential searches, based on your first few words? Sometimes, there’s a sort of serendipitous poetry to these automatically completed search terms, which leads us to Google Poetics, a website devoted to capturing these rare specimens and preserving them for posterity. #2: And now, our (as always, optional) prompt, provided to us by NaPoWriMo participant Carla Jones. Today, I challenge you to take your gaze upward, and write a poem about the stars. You may find inspiration in this website that lists constellations, while also providing information on the myths associated with each one, as well as other salient information. Your poem could be informed by those myths or historical details, by the shapes or names of the constellations, or by childhood memories of seeing them. Any form or style will do. Without any further ado, the poem... Last night I had the strangest dream... There was a car and a girl and it went on and on for a bit and then a bit more. I might have laughed if I had remembered how. It's like that time with that tipped cow; Legs a twitchin' Body itching' Stuck. Done like dinner Like the cow. Ow. |
